MoMo Manila 2012.02: Mobile Trends and Insights 2012

It’s the month of February! And with that we also begin our first meeting for 2012. So, what’s up us in the year of the dragon? That’s what we’ll be talking about.

Our theme for this evening is Mobile Trends and Insights 2012. We will be discussing TOP-OF-THE-PYRAMID statistics on the current Mobile ecosystem and what trends might happen in 2012. Afterwhich Globe Telecom, the World Food Programme, and Ayala Foundation will be sharing their insights on using mobile technology at the BOTTOM-OF-THE-PYRAMID especially since Philippines is NOT a smartphone country.

Leigh Reyes (President and Chief Creative Officer, Lowe Philippines) will start the meeting with an overview of our topic for the night.

Rob Nazal (Corporate Social Responsibility, Globe Telecom) will then present how mobile innovations can be a game changer for the bottom of the pyramid.

Mario Deriquito (Director, Ayala Foundation) will be discussing how the mobile solution Text2Teach is making an impact on education.

We hope to have Stephen Anderson (Country Representative, World Food Programme) in our meeting to introduce to us Conditional Cash Transfer. We also hope Gonzalo Plaza (BridgeIT Program Manager) will join us to share what he has learned in implementing mobile education in Chile.

In this month of hearts, we intend to start this year as a socially-aware mobile community. We look forward to seeing you on February 6, 2012, 7pm-9pm at the Corporate Showroom, Valero Telepark, 111 Valero St., Salcedo Village, Makati City.

Sign up now for MoMo Manila 2012.02: Mobile Trends and Insights 2012! As usual, attendance is free as well as the pizza and beer!
